A 26-year-old Indian man, Sundarsh Krishna, has been reported missing in Arizona’s Grand Canyon National Park, prompting the park to request public assistance in locating the person. Park authorities said Krishna disappeared without a trace inside the park on April 28 after he was last seen aboard the Rim Train along Hermit Road between Bright Angel Lodge and Mohave Point.
At that time he was wearing sports clothes.“Grand Canyon National Park is asking for the public’s assistance in locating a missing person who was last known to be in the park,” authorities said.“On April 28, 2026, Grand Canyon Mission was notified of a missing person identified as 26-year-old Sundaresh Krishna. The last known possible location was along the Rim Trail along Hermit Road between Bright Angel Lodge and Mohave Point between 4 pm on April 27 and 12 am.
On April 28th. There is no known vehicle linked to the individual, who may have been using a rideshare or taxi service. Krishna is described as being 5 feet 10 inches tall, of slim build, weighing approximately 160 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.
The letter said he was last seen wearing tracksuits.Officials said Krishna did not have a car and was believed to be traveling in a ride-sharing service or taxi.After park authorities requested public assistance in locating Krishna, a person presented a black backpack that authorities believed belonged to Krishna.
“Investigators believe Krishna was in possession of a black backpack before his disappearance,” park officials posted on Facebook. “A black backpack was later delivered to hotel staff at Bright Angel Lodge at approximately 7am.” They said the person who returned the bag was not a suspect, and investigators would speak to him once the person was identified.
National Park Service rangers at Grand Canyon National Park released a photo of the man seen returning the backpack and asked for the public’s help in identifying him.Grand Canyon National Park lies entirely within the state of Arizona, encompassing 278 miles (447 km) of the Colorado River and adjacent highlands, according to its website.
