'Raja Shivaji' Box Office Collection Day 1 [Hindi]: Riteish Deshmukh's film starts at Rs 3.35 crore. It pushes the total to Rs 11 crore

Riteish Deshmukh’s ambitious project ‘Raja Shivaji’, the film based on the Maratha warrior king Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, opened to mixed response from critics as well as audience. Despite this, the film did well at the box office.

The film was shot in Marathi and Hindi simultaneously. While the Marathi version did well at the box office, the Hindi version did well at the box office.

According to a Sacnilk report, on the first day, the Riteish Deshmukh starrer grossed Rs 3.35 crore across 4,251 shows in the country. The film was released in a total of 6,291 shows, including Hindi, Marathi and Telugu versions. The film collected a total collection of Rs 11.35 crore (Hindi and Marathi) in India.

The Raja Shivaji starrer has clashed with the Aamir Khan-backed Ek Din, starring his son Junaid Khan and Sai Pallavi. The actress marked her Bollywood debut with the film, a remake of Thai romantic drama “One Day”.Theaters also set aside screens for the Hollywood version of “The Devil Wears Prada 2.”

Meanwhile, Michael Jackson’s biopic ‘Michael’, along with Ranveer Singh’s ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’, is also in theatres.
