Speaking on the podcast with co-host Yvonnie, Disguised Toast made his point in a very direct way. He said: “I thought everyone knew that the shy cartoon boy from UwU didn’t exist in the real world. I thought we were all in this persona that he was putting forward. So, to me, it wasn’t too shocking.”He likened the situation to discovering something unexpected about a public figure, but said the matter was not that serious.

He added, “It wasn’t like finding out that Mister Rogers was a dope, smoker, drinker guy. It was like he’s not actually a shy anime boy from UwU. Like this clip that’s about me, it’s kind of an acknowledgment of the fact that we know he’s not a shy anime boy from UwU. Right? He’s a 30-year-old man. It’s like a personal thing.”

Toast also shared that not everyone believed in this photo online. According to him, some people have always viewed it as an act.

But he said the real problem came from the fans’ reaction when someone questioned it. He explained: “I think a lot of guys probably didn’t buy Sykkuno’s act. I thought we were all in on the joke. But to be fair, in the past where any of us would publicly oppose that character, his fans would get really upset with us, like bullying him in quotes.”

He went further and talked about his own experience dealing with this reaction.

“I had to yell at his fans or scream at his fans because I was treating him like an adult,” he said.Later in the same episode, Toast directly addressed what he called toxic behavior from parts of the fan base. He said, “But to the Sykkuno fans who have been toxic, I swear to you all. I’m so upset that this is terrible, but I hope you guys take a look in the mirror and realize that the UwU boys are being toxic on behalf of a guy who is just a streamer and bullying others just because they expressed their opinions?”He also mentioned one gameplay moment, saying, “Just because they’re like, ‘Hey Sykkuno, maybe you shouldn’t pull out your knife in this Valorant tournament, with 40 other creators, just so you can farm one clip.’ For now, the conversation is still active online, with no response yet from Sykkuno.
