Sameera Reddy praises Ranveer Singh's 'Dhurandhar', says her 'personal opinion' is not up for public discussion

Sameera Reddy is back in the limelight with her upcoming film Aakhri Sawal, marking a big moment after her appearance in Yes. While promoting the political drama, the actress was candid about the ongoing conversations around ‘Dhurandhar’, while also reflecting on her experience of reuniting with Sanjay Dutt and opting for a story that leans into discussion and debate.Having watched both ‘Dhurandhar’ and its follow-up ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’, Sameera has not held back in her appreciation for the craft. She particularly praised Sanjay Dutt’s performance as “incredible”. Talking about the ongoing discussions around the film, she shared with NDTV, “I think it is a well-made film. Sanju has done a wonderful job. I always say it takes two hands to clap. If you look at the numbers, if the audience has watched the film again and again, then your answer is there.”

However, she chose not to delve into the political conversations surrounding her. She added: “My opinion of the film is personal. This is something I do not want to go into. This film doesn’t take sides,” she said, highlighting the film’s neutral stance.She also added, “These conversations make people very angry. One thing is to get upset about them. But the smart thing is to get more information and ask the right questions.”

In the film, Samira plays a left-leaning character who challenges viewpoints within the narrative.
