Aamir Khan cries at son Junaid Khan and Sai Pallavi’s ‘Ek Din Ki Mehfil’ event: 5 times the actor became emotional in public

Aamir Khan is one star who is known for wearing his heart on his sleeve. On multiple occasions, he has shown his sensitive side to the world, most recently at the private event held for his son Junaid Khan and actress Sai Pallavi’s upcoming film ‘Ek Din’. He was seen crying during the musical evening held in Mumbai, which was organized as a celebration ahead of the film’s release on May 1. During the live performances, a visibly emotional Aamir Khan was captured on video, wiping away tears as he listened.

Uncovering true stories of survivors, ‘Satyamev Jayate’ was Aamir Khan’s television debut. At the launch event of the show, Aamir Khan was seen getting emotional. ‘Katti Batti’ was a light romantic comedy-drama, but when Aamir Khan watched it, he described it as tear-jerking. In 2015, he was seen collapsing after a special screening of the film. Talking about it in a conversation with Hindustan Times, Aamir said, “It is a very emotional and moving story about the beliefs one has in love and how far one goes for those beliefs. It reminded me of moments from my own life.”

He added, “I’m a sentimental type of geek. I’m obsessed with Mills & Boon stories. The movie reminded me of moments I had that were very romantic, intense, and obsessive.”

Salman Khan’s ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ has left many fans in tears. Aamir Khan also couldn’t control his tears after watching the film. He stated that while watching the movie, he became so emotional that he needed a piece of cloth or tissue to wipe away his tears. His son presented him with a brown towel, which the actor carried over his shoulder as he exited the theater. He told Hindustan Times, “When I started watching the movie, I didn’t have a towel or anything. But I got very emotional in the second half, so I asked my son to get me something, and he got me that.”

Another Salman Khan film that left Aamir Khan with tears in his eyes is ‘Sultan’. Never one to shy away from crying in public, Aamir Khan broke down after watching the movie Sultan. When the press asked him to choose a film between ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ and ‘Sultan’, the actor admitted, “It’s difficult to compare Bajrangi Bhaijaan and Sultan. Both are very good films. I’m not comparing. But Sultan is wonderful and touching and he cried in the second half. It’s a very inspiring film.”

He added: “I texted him at night and congratulated him. He deserves success. I am sure that Sultan will break all records.”
