The IPL confirmed the punishment in an official statement. “Angkrish Raghuvanshi, wicketkeeper-batsman and wicketkeeper-batsman, Kolkata Knight Riders, has been fined 20% of the match fee and was also given one penalty point for breaching Level 1 of the ISL Code of Conduct for Players and Team Officials during Match No. 1.”

“It’s No. 38 against Lucknow Super Giants,” the IPL statement said.Al-Douri also explained the exact reason for this measure. “Raghuvanshi was found to have violated Article 2.2 of the Indian Premier League Code of Conduct, which relates to ‘misuse of cricket equipment or clothing, ground equipment or fixtures and fittings during the match.’ “The incident occurred on the fifth day, when Raghuvanshi, having been dismissed for ‘obstructing the pitch,’ hit the boundary pad with his bat in an aggressive manner, and then threw his helmet into the dugout in a similar manner,” the statement added.

Raghuvanshi accepted Crime and Punishment. Level 1 violations usually result in fines or warnings depending on the seriousness of the act.Despite the controversy, the match itself was exciting. KKR edged out LSG in the Super Over after both teams scored 155 runs. Rinku Singh played a key role with an unbeaten 83, helping KKR bounce back from a shaky start. LSG forced a Super Over thanks to a final six ball, but KKR held their nerve to win, with Rinku being awarded Player of the Match.
