Moving on to X, Union Minister Kiren Rijiju announced the Rajya Sabha Speaker’s approval of the merger. “Welcome to nation building NDA under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji and goodbye Tukde-Tukde INDI alliance,” Rijiju wrote attacking AAP.

BJP praises new MPs

Rijiju praised the new members of the BJP and said they never indulged in unparliamentary behaviour. “I have observed for a long time that these seven MPs never resorted to abusive language and never created any indiscipline or unparliamentary behaviour,” Rijiju wrote on X.

Raghav Chadha, Sandeep Pathak and other Rajya Sabha MPs on April 24 announced their departure from AAP, dealing a huge blow to the party. AAP’s Rajya Sabha accounts saw a massive jolt with the move, bringing down the party’s tally in the House to just three.

Of the seven MPs who left the party, six of them were from Punjab, leaving behind only one AAP MP from the state – Balbir Singh Seewal.

Raghav Chadha blames ‘toxic’ work environment at AAP

Raghav Chadha continued his attack on the AAP on Monday, releasing a new video detailing his reasons for leaving the party he co-founded and has been associated with for years.

“I gave this party 15 years of my entrepreneurial youth… However, this party has remained intact for much longer. You get stopped for doing your job, or from speaking in Parliament. This party has now fallen into the hands of a few corrupt people working for personal gain. I felt like I was the right person in the wrong party,” Chadha said.

Chadha also said he thought of other steps, like quitting politics altogether or staying in AAP and trying to “fix it”, before finally deciding to join hands with the BJP.

Chadha asked: “One or two people could be wrong, but could seven people be wrong?” He also asked people what they would do if their workplace was toxic.
