Actress Sai Pallavi gave an emotional and heartfelt speech at a promotional event for her debut Hindi film ‘Ek Din ki Mehfil’, where she shared the stage with Aamir Khan and Junaid Khan.The actress, who was invited on stage to share a few words, apologized to the audience for her limited command of the Hindi language and warned the audience about her common grammatical mistakes while trying to speak in Hindi.Addressing the audience, Pallavi admitted that she was not ready to speak in Hindi. She said, “I didn’t know that we would be speaking at this event. At least I would have learned something in Hindi. I personally thank you very much.”

The actress asked the audience to excuse her grammatical errors, adding, “Thank you so much. This evening was amazing. When I look at my journey in the industry, I don’t know what work I’ve done, but I felt happy that everything I did, leads me to films with very talented people and I end up being very humbled.”Pallavi also shared her appreciation for her film journey, saying, “Today was a very emotional day for me, because I didn’t know this was happening. Everything I have done has led me here and I am grateful for this journey.”She thanked her team and the participating stars, and singled out Aamir Khan. “Thank you Aamir Sir for putting me in a place like this and making me a part of this film, where I can enjoy this and feel a lot of love,” she said. She added, “This is my first Hindi film and I am actually very nervous.

But it’s a very nice journey.”Pallavi also struck a lighter note during her speech, saying, “At least Aamir sir is crazy enough to be very emotional in public, but even though I love my scenes, I wish the lights were dim so that I could be more emotional.”‘Ek Din ki Mehfil’ will be released on May 1.‘Ek Din’ marks a major milestone in Pallavi’s career as she transitions into Hindi cinema, before she takes over the big screens this Diwali with ‘Ramayana’. Sai is all set to play the role of Maa Sita in the epic directed by Nitesh Tiwari which also stars Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama and Yash as Ravana.
