Speaking on Lilly Singh’s podcast, when Kajol was asked about the decision, she explained that the scene is inseparable from her character’s journey.

In her own words, “It wasn’t just a kiss, it was about what she thought and what she wanted to happen and what didn’t happen to her.”“What she believed in, what she believed in. What she couldn’t possibly believe in. She told Lilly Singh, “I think I wasn’t comfortable with it.
