Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has arrested an Indian-origin man convicted of child sexual assault in Michigan.
Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) announced the arrest of Indian man Nava Kumar Topili who was earlier convicted of sexually assaulting minors. “Nava Kumar Topili, a criminal illegal alien from India, was convicted of child abuse for immoral purposes and using a computer to commit a crime in Wayland, Michigan,” the Department of Homeland Security said.
The man was already in ICE custody because he was residing in the United States illegally, ICE said. Tobelli entered the United States on a student visa that was revoked in 2024, ICE said, adding that the county jail honored an ICE detainer and referred the man to ICE rather than releasing him.Last weekend, Immigration and Customs Enforcement arrested criminal illegal aliens across the country who were convicted of despicable crimes including sexual assault of a child, human trafficking for sexual slavery, sexual enticement of a minor, rape, kidnapping, and other horrific crimes, the department said.
“Over the weekend, the heroic men and women of ICE apprehended criminal illegal aliens convicted of some of the worst crimes imaginable, including sex trafficking, child rape, and kidnapping,” said Acting Assistant Secretary Loren Pace. “Immigration and Customs Enforcement never takes a day off — even on weekends — from removing criminal illegal aliens from American communities. If you see an ICE enforcement officer, thank them for removing these heinous criminals from our country.
