Andrew Garfield is ready to lead the revolution this fall in an upcoming historical drama from Paul Greengrass.
Focus Features announced this on Wednesday Uprising It’s scheduled to hit theaters locally on September 11. Jamie Bell, Stephen Dillane, Tom Hollander, Cosmo Jarvis, Thomasin McKenzie, Jonny Lee Miller, Woody Norman and Katherine Waterston complete the cast.
Uprising The film revolves around the untold story of the rebellion against the tyrannical King Richard II. Garfield plays the leader of a rebellion who pits an army of commoners against the crown in a battle for justice and survival.
Greengrass, which includes its modern features Lost bus and World newsHe directed the film from his own script. He produces alongside Gregory Goodman and Joanna Kay. Jason Blum is also producing for Blumhouse, Lars Sylvest for Thank You Pictures, and Joe Neurwater for Supernix.
Garfield can soon be seen in the Apple TV series Wild things About the charming duo of Siegfried and Roy, with Garfield portraying Roy Horne opposite Jude Law’s Siegfried Fischbacher. He is also set to play OpenAI CEO Sam Altman in Luca Guadagnino’s film industrial For Amazon MGM Studios.
