Hot competition Author Rachel Reed is scheduled to be honored in… Hollywood ReporterWomen in Entertainment Canada Gala and Summit on May 28.
Reed will receive the Changemaker Award at the Ritz-Carlton in Toronto, while also participating in a featured on-stage interview. She is famous for writing Hot competition The book series was adapted into the popular Crave and HBO Max romantic drama about gay hockey players.
“By championing new perspectives, elevating underrepresented voices, and pushing boundaries through storytelling, Reed has helped shape a more dynamic and forward-looking entertainment landscape,” organizers of the WIE Canada event said in a statement Wednesday.

Hot competition The second season will be released next year, and Reid will publish her seventh book, peerlessin Game changers The series will be released in June 2027.
The upcoming third annual WIE Canada Summit will once again bring together the Canadian industry across television, film and music to celebrate and recognize the achievements of the women leading the industry forward. This all-day event is attended by top local producers, actors, musicians and executives.
Reid joins previously announced honorees Andrea Martin, Malin Akerman, Alethea Arnaquq-Baril, and Stacey Aglock McDonald. Additional honorees and speakers will be announced in the coming weeks.
