Tennessee Williams revival Cat on a hot tin roof It’s coming to Broadway next season.
Sam Gould, Tony Award-winning director Fun house and Macbethattached directly. Cast and specific dates have not yet been announced, but the plan is to bring the show to Broadway in the spring of 2027.
The news comes as Broadway’s Seaview Productions announced it has acquired the rights to the revival from the new custodians of the Tennessee Williams estate. International Literary Properties assumed this role after entering into a strategic partnership with the University of the South in 2025.
The play was last revived on Broadway in 2013, starring Scarlett Johansson and Benjamin Walker. The Pulitzer Prize-winning play premiered in 1955, and follows a wealthy Southern family vying for the inheritance of a dying patriarch.
This will be the third collaboration between Seaview and Gold then Enemy of the people With Jeremy Strong and Romeo + Juliet With Rachel Ziegler and Kate Connor. Gould undertook the Broadway revival of Tennessee Williams’ play. Glass Zoo In 2017.
