Before becoming a Hollywood star, actress Judy Greer had her share of struggles in 13 Going on 30. While recalling her role in the 2001 romantic film The Wedding Planner on the film’s 25th anniversary, the actress recently shared a hilarious experience with the film’s lead star, Matthew McConaughey. While speaking with Entertainment Tonight, Judy Greer shared an incident where she was “so broke” that she couldn’t get her car out of valet parking the first time she met the cast, and how Matthew McConaughey saved the day for her.

“Before we started filming, we did a table read, we did it at the Roosevelt Hotel, and I got my car serviced,” she told the outlet. “I didn’t know any better.” However, when she went to get her car at the end of the day, she “didn’t have enough money.”Realizing she couldn’t pay for valet parking, she frantically called her boyfriend, Sean Gunn, from a pay phone in the lobby for help. “Matthew McConaughey heard me and gave me $20,” she recalled with a laugh. “I felt very intimidated, but also, like ‘my hero.’”

In the conversation, Judy Greer recalled her experience with the film and how it left a lasting impression on her. She fondly remembered the atmosphere on set, especially when it came to McConaughey.
“The thing I remember about this movie is how beautiful it is [he] He was. “I loved seeing him in hair and makeup every morning, because he was wearing his Yerba Mate pajamas,” Greer told the outlet. “I haven’t worked with him since then, but I have a feeling not much has changed.”The Wedding Planner is a 2001 romantic comedy film, starring Jennifer Lopez as Mary Fiore, a successful San Francisco wedding planner who falls in love with charming pediatrician Steve Edison, played by Matthew McConaughey, after a near-miss.
