Jacob Elordi is staying booked and busy, as his latest project will be showcased during Disney’s CinemaCon showcase on Thursday.

The film tells the story of Haig (played by Elordi), a young pilot who, along with military survivor Bangle (Josh Brolin), builds a functioning but isolated home in a brutal post-apocalyptic world. But that changes when a mysterious radio broadcast motivates Haig to venture into the unknown in search of the hope and humanity he still believes exists.

Ridley Scott is in the director’s chair, and it is scheduled to hit theaters on August 28. Based on Peter Heller’s best-selling book, the film stars Margaret Qualley, Guy Pearce, Benedict Wong, and Allison Janney. The film was written by Mark L. Smith and produced by Scott, Michael Bruce, and Cliff Roberts.

The trailer arrived in Las Vegas – following a virtual appearance by Scott – at the same time as its public release, and begins with Elordi and Qualley as a couple excitedly bringing home a dog. Cut to a short time later and Elordi and the dog are soloing. Brolin’s character asks him: “What were you doing before the end of the world?” Elordi’s Hig responds, “I would kiss my wife and play with my dog ​​and wonder every day how I got so lucky.”

He is then shown setting off alone via a classic plane, and in flashback scenes with his wife sitting around a fire as she admits: “I don’t like the feeling of wondering if you’ll ever come back.” The footage ends with Elordi flying as men on horses chase him and jump onto the wing of his plane.

Paul Mescal was originally hired to lead the project, but later returned to work with Scott The second wrestlerbut Elordi joined the team when Mescal had to drop out due to Sam Mendes’ four-film Beatles project.
