Michael B. Jordan’s new look Thomas Crown case Amazon MGM Studios’ CinemaCon presentation started off well.

The trailer opens with Jordan and co-star Adria Arjona engaging in flirtatious banter and teasing Jordan’s character as a notorious art thief. “Tell me something: Does this billionaire thing really work?” She asks him. Later, he asked her: “Are you teasing me, Mrs. Bennet?” Jordan then says to Kenneth Branagh’s character: “You think it’s yours because you bought it, but it’s not.”
After showing the footage, Jordan explained why the project was important to him. “I’ve been dreaming of making this movie for years,” he said. “I saw ’99 Thomas Crown case When I was about 9 years old. Arjuna, Branagh, Lily Gladstone, Danai Gurira, Bello Asback, and Aisha Hart complete the cast of the new project, which will hit theaters on March 5, 2027. Taylor Russell was previously scheduled to star opposite Jordan in the film before exiting the film amid creative differences, prompting Arjuna to join the cast.
The original Thomas Crown case The film received two Academy Award nominations and tells the story of an insurance investigator who works to track down the perpetrator of a bank robbery. It was renewed in 1999, with the updated version starring Pierce Brosnan and Rene Russo.
Drew Pierce (Autumn man) wrote the screenplay for the new film after Wes Tuck and Justin Brett Gibson wrote an earlier draft. Producers include Jordan and Elizabeth Raposo for Outlier Society and Charles Roven for Atlas Entertainment. Patrick McCormick and Mark Toberoff of Toberoff Productions are also producing. Alan Trustman, who wrote the original film, serves as executive producer.
Earlier this year, Jordan raised his position Thomas Crown case In conversation with Hollywood Reporter. “It’s a big movie,” the star said at the time. “It’s an international film. It’s exciting. It’s a lot of fun. A lot of twists and turns. There will be some things that I think the audience won’t expect that might be a treat for them.”
CinemaCon is the annual event for Hollywood exhibitors and studios that takes place this year from April 13-16. It’s the official convention of Cinema United.
