“This is not what I expected from the movie.”
Speaking about her experience, Mrunal revealed that she was unaware of a major casting decision that directly affected her character.Speaking to Prema, she said, “I didn’t know that a very big actor would play my husband. Because it just changes me… and it’s not what I expected from the film. So, I failed there. Because there was a little bit of confidence that was shaken. But you know, I don’t regret it.”For context, in Son of Sardaar 2, Mrunal plays Rabia Akhtar, while Chunky Panday plays her estranged husband Danish. “I didn’t know that two important scenes of me at the table would be edited out. Like, there’s this beautiful scene with me and Roshni. She’s actually my niece and my sister dies in the movie, it’s just a narration. And I’m giving up my personal life in order to make it better. She says, it’s better not to have a mother, I have you. And I pray that every girl gets a mother like you, even if you don’t have me. But the way she cared.”
