Yeon’s “Colony” will premiere in Cannes before heading to theaters in North America.

Zombie lovers rejoice! Train to Busanthe 2016 Korean masterpiece from director Yeon Sang-ho, returns to theaters to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the film that revived the zombie genre. And that’s not all – Yeun’s new zombie film has set a theatrical release date in North America.
Well Go USA Entertainment provides the industry’s leading independent and specialty distribution company Train to Busan It returns to US and Canadian theaters on August 14. The film will be shown in 4K resolution for the first time in theaters. There are no details yet about the number of theaters or the exact location where the film will be shown.
“Train to Busan” was a huge international hit when it was released. The film, which stars an ensemble cast including Gong Yoo, Jung Yu-mi and Don Lee, tells the story of a zombie apocalypse that suddenly breaks out and threatens the lives of passengers on a train between Seoul and Busan. The film was followed by an animated prequel Seoul station (2016) and the standalone sequel peninsula (2020).
Well Go USA also revealed that it has acquired North American rights to Yeon’s latest zombie feature colony. This film will have its world premiere at the Cannes Film Festival in May, with a theatrical release on August 28 of this year. Well Go USA has revealed a trailer for the film (see below).

Unable to escape, Se Jeong and a group of survivors must fight to stay alive while those infected undergo horrific transformations and threaten to spread the virus.”
