Three of the small screen stories that generated a lot of interest this year will receive major acclaim Hollywood ReporterThe inaugural Sustainability in Entertainment event will be held on April 23 in partnership with the Sustainable Entertainment Alliance.
The invitation-only celebration will take place at the Bel-Air Hotel and highlight a three-hour series highlighting their pioneering work in crafting on-screen narratives that bring sustainability issues to the forefront, and sustainable production practices behind the scenes.
Prizes up for grabs will include: Legacy of Sustainable Storytelling, presented to ABC Gray’s Anatomy; Achievement in sustainable storytelling, brought to Hulu’s heaven; and Achievement in Sustainable Production, in the Duffer Brothers’ upcoming Netflix series Biologywhich starts on May 21.

Former Vice President Al Gore, who narrated and starred in Oscar-winning director Davis Guggenheim’s 2006 documentary An uncomfortable truthwill appear at the event to celebrate the film’s 20th anniversary and engage in a conversation about the state of sustainability.
The program will also include a live panel discussion between top sustainability-focused executives and creatives in Hollywood.
The Sustainability Honors event represents the next stage in THR‘s growing partnership with the Sustainable Entertainment Alliance, which kicked off at the 2025 Toronto International Film Festival.
