Chris Hemsworth and Idris Elba return in Netflix’s latest release extraction privilege.

The third film in the action franchise is officially moving forward, with Sam Hargrave, who directed the first two films, returning to direct the final installment, the streaming service announced on Wednesday. Golshifteh Farahani has assembled the cast for the project, which has a script from David Weil.

Plot details for Extract 3 It has not been revealed yet. Elba joined the franchise with a cameo appearance Extraction 2which premieres in 2023.

The prequel debuted in 2020 and broke viewership records for Netflix at the time. The film introduces Tyler Rake (Hemsworth), a mercenary who sets out to rescue the kidnapped son of a drug lord in Bangladesh. The franchise is based on Ande Parks’ graphic novel Ciudadwhich contains a story credited to Parks, Joe Russo, and Anthony Russo, as well as illustrations by Fernando Leon Gonzalez.

Producers for the third film include Anthony Russo, Joe Russo, Angela Russo Otstot, Michael Disco, and Ari Costa for AGBO, along with Hemsworth and Benjamin Grayson for Wild State. Hargrave, Patrick Newall, Eric Jeter and Peter Schwerin also produce. Stephen F. Scavelli is executive producer.
