Rapper Offset was shot outside a popular Florida casino on Monday, according to multiple media outlets.
The former member of the Atlanta-based hip-hop trio Migos, whose real name is Kiari Kendrell Cephus, was shot near the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, Florida, his representative confirmed to Rolling Stone.
“We can confirm that Offset has been shot and is currently in the hospital receiving medical care,” the rep wrote in a statement. “His condition is stable and he is being monitored closely.”
The Seminole Police Department said Hollywood Reporter Officers responded to an “accident that occurred in a valet parking area just after 7 p.m. Monday outside Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood that resulted in non-life-threatening injuries to an individual who was transported to Memorial Regional Hospital in Hollywood.”
Authorities said the situation was quickly contained, and that police arrested two people in connection with the shooting.
The police department added in a statement, “The investigation is ongoing. The site is safe and there is no threat to the public. Operations are continuing as usual.”

Takeoff, real name Kirsnick Khari Ball who was another member of Migos, was shot to death in November 2022. Takeoff died at the age of 28 after being killed outside a bowling alley in Houston. His death led to an international wave of grief. In May 2023, a grand jury indicted Patrick Xavier Clark for Takeoff’s murder. His trial is scheduled for November 9, 2026.
Offset rose to fame with Migos, which was founded in 2008 with Quavo and Takeoff. Hailing from Lawrenceville, Georgia, Migos achieved massive success in the 2000s, becoming a true pop culture phenomenon as well as one of the best-selling music groups of the decade. Their songs “Versace,” “MotorSport,” “Stir Fry,” and “Walk It Talk It” became enduring hits as Atlanta’s rap classic “Bad and Boujee” topped the Billboard charts and propelled them to mainstream stardom.
Although it was never officially announced, Migos are believed to have broken up by 2022. In October 2022, Quavo and Takeoff released an unreleased album titled Designed only for Infinity Links.
After Migos, Offset achieved his own success as a solo artist, including the hits “Ric Flair Drip,” “Clout” (feat. Cardi B), and “SAY MY GRACE” (feat. Travis Scott).
The rapper has six children, including two daughters and a boy, with his estranged wife, rapper Cardi B. He also has two sons and another daughter from previous relationships.
