UGC NET December 2025: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the revised final answer keys for the December 2025 session of the University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (UGC NET). The review comes after the agency followed directions issued by the Delhi High Court.Earlier, the final answer keys were released on April 3. However, the keys did not cover all topics. At that time, answer keys were released only for History, Economics, Education, Commerce and Hindi. After reviewing the objections and the court’s directions, the NTA has now issued the revised final answer keys.
Changes made in the history sheet
The subject of history has seen the greatest number of changes. NTA dropped four questions from the paper. In addition, three questions with two correct answers are now marked.
These changes were made after several candidates raised objections.Students who appeared in these subjects can expect revised results soon. Updated results are likely to be published at any time on the official website.
Changes in the subject of trade
For the trade paper, which was conducted in the first shift on January 3, three questions were dropped. One question gave two correct answers.
There are no changes in other topics
NTA has not made any changes in Economics, Education and Hindi papers.

UGC NET December 2025 exam was conducted from 31 December 2025 to 7 January 2026. The provisional answer key was released on 14 January.The examination is administered to determine eligibility for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), Assistant Professor positions, and admission to Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) programs.The legal case began after student Kartikeya Kahol filed a writ petition. He challenged four question identification numbers: 4324498604, 4324498530, 4324498544, and 4324498600, and asked the court to review them.A total of 60,777 candidates appeared in the date sheet in the December session. The results were announced on February 4. After the results, many candidates claimed that many questions were marked incorrectly. Some aspirants also raised concerns on social media, saying mistakes were being ignored.Following the court’s directions and additional review, the NTA has now released the revised final answer keys.
