Veteran actor Paresh Rawal is known for speaking his mind, and in a recent interaction, he addressed the growing negativity on social media, urging people to be more aware of what they post online.
Sharing his honest opinion, he compared social media to a “vomit bowl,” noting how users often express harsh opinions without much thought.Speaking to PTI about the importance of maintaining positivity, he said, “I am trying to improve myself. In my opinion, social media is like a vomit bowl. It says what you want to say. It should not be that way. Negativity should not spread. You have no right to say anything about anyone.”
Even if you are sure that the person is wrong, you do not have the right to criticize, demean, or distort his image. But I say all these things, and I listen to myself.
And I did very little.”Rawal also admitted that although online hate affects him sometimes, he makes a conscious effort to stay within boundaries. “Sometimes when I get angry, I get angry. But still, I maintain boundaries. I never abuse them. Social media is a good way to spread positivity.
He added: “If there is negativity, stay away from it.”The actor was recently involved in an online exchange after responding to a post criticizing Dhurandhar. The incident began when a radio jockey shared an audio clip on X, featuring two people giving a sarcastic and humorous take on the film. “Hahahahaha. Best Dhurandhar review! (sic),” she captioned the clip. The post quickly caught attention, prompting a sharp reaction from Rawal, who responded: “Your job as a stupid reporter has been secured.
Nobody wants that (sic).” His comment quickly sparked a reaction from RJ, who corrected him and backpedaled, saying: “Get your facts right. I’m not a reporter. “You’re just an actor, very far from your art in real life.” Meanwhile, the ‘Hera Pheri’ actor also spoke about ‘Dhurandhar’. Talking about the film during an interview with Jagran, he said, “I am a huge fan of Dhurandhar. I absolutely loved the film. I still haven’t gotten over it. I have already watched the first Dhurandhar twice and watched Dhurandhar 2 twice as well. I feel like going and watching it again.”
After watching you’ll realize that there are many layers to it. Only when you watch the movie will you understand what each reference refers to.
