He said: “When Ranveer saw his work, he reached out to him, and then Jay presented the idea to him. Once Ranveer said he liked the idea, we invested in developing it, and helping Jay create the world he wanted to present in the film.”According to reports, the film has been in pre-production since then, which included proofreading the concept and pre-visualization.The veteran director also added that development is not just about writing, but includes world building, visualization, concept presentation, and more. He shared that the team invested a lot of time in creating a world that also had to be believable.
Hansal Mehta responds to rumors that Pralay is inspired by Blindness
Addressing rumors that Ranveer Singh’s next film is based on Blindness, Hansal Mehta said, “It is not an adaptation. Jay and Vishal Kapoor have written the original story.”
The director also said, “The triumph of Jay’s film will depend on its immersive nature… We are working with some of the best talent from around the world.”
