During the summer of 2018, Blake hilariously talked about a video of her and Ryan smiling and screaming after hearing their daughter’s voice in the song “Awesome.”
“That was the real, unfiltered version of our terrible pride as stage people,” the Gossip Girl alum said on… Good morning America. “Our kids live a very normal life, as much as possible. So you didn’t even get a title on the album. I had to collect the royalties!”
2019
Ryan and Blake attended a few of Taylor’s parties, including her New Year’s Eve bash and her year-end birthday bash.

In 2020, Taylor released her song “Betty,” in which she nods to Ryan and Blake James’ daughters and Inez.

While accepting the Album of the Year award at the 2021 Grammy Awards, Taylor thanked Ryan, Blake and “Betty, James and Inez” in her speech. In October of that year, the recording artist went trick-or-treating with children Blake and Ryan in New York City.
By the end of the year, Blake had directed Taylor’s music video for “I Bet You’re Thinking of Me (Taylor’s Version).”

2022

2026
After about a year of fan speculation about their friendship, text messages that Blake and Taylor sent to each other were revealed in legal documents related to the actress’s lawsuit against her. Taylor added in her response: “It’s like… and I feel really bad saying anything about this because your texts were so sweet in their intentions but so little… I felt like I was reading a mass email that was sent out to 200 employees. And it’s awful to be critical in any way for any way you handle what I went through, but I kind of miss my funny, dark, normally speaking friend who talks to me herself… and I know you feel attacked from all sides for ridiculous reasons so you feel like you have to explain things.” Exaggeratedly…but that’s me. Blake then apologized to Taylor and concluded their conversation by writing, “Fuck this guy and fuck his whole group of supervillains,” in an apparent reference to Justin.
