Coachella-goers will get more than just music at this year’s festival, as HBO Max is offering a special screening of the new season of trance To the desert.
Timed for the show’s third season premiere on April 12, the streamer is hosting a special screening for fans during the first weekend of Coachella, which is set for 11:59 PM PT on the 12th following the festival’s final performance. The event makes trance The first-ever television series to air its first episode at the Coachella campgrounds is open on a first-come, first-served basis, with a festival wristband required for access.
HBO Max hasn’t announced if any of the cast will be attending the show, but it’s possible some will be in town for the series’ red carpet premiere in Los Angeles earlier in the week. Zendaya has her own connection to Coachella after joining trance Composer Labrinth on stage at the 2023 festival, performing “All for Us” from the show’s first season and “I’m Tired” from season two.
Season 3 of the hit HBO series comes after a nearly four-year hiatus and features a significant time jump from where the series last left off. Zendaya, Hunter Schafer, Jacob Elordi, Sydney Sweeney, Alexa Demie, Maude Apatow, Martha Kelly, Chloe Cherry, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje and Toby Wallace appear as regular cast members in the series, alongside Eric Dane in his final role.
As for Coachella as a whole, the festival takes over the desert on two distinct weekends — this year April 10-12 and April 17-19 — with Justin Bieber, Sabrina Carpenter, and Carole G.
