Ranveer Allahbadia says Karan Johar was one of the first people to reach out and support him after the 'India's Got Lant' controversy.

YouTuber and podcaster Ranveer Allahbadiya was surrounded in controversy when he appeared on Samay Raina’s show ‘India’s Got Latent’. Ranveer has now opened up about that phase and revealed that director Karan Johar was one of the first people to reach out to him and offer support during that period. In a recent conversation with director and choreographer Farah Khan on his YouTube channel, Ranveer shared that Johar was among the first people to reach out to him when the case unfolded.

Speaking about that difficult period, Ranveer revealed that Karan’s advice helped him overcome intense public scrutiny.Ranveer told Farah: “He (Karan) also helped me during that phase. He was one of the first to call and simply say: ‘Deal with your mind and your mental health, and everything will take care of itself’. And it was true, and that’s exactly what happened.”

During the discussion, Ranveer admitted that the controversy is still affecting him emotionally and that he has not fully moved on from the experience.

He said: “No matter what happened to me last year, I will not say that I am good, but I am a strong person.” In response, Farah expressed her sympathy for what he went through and criticized the culture of anger on the Internet. “It’s painful when a young person almost gets cancelled.

“I hate cancel culture,” she said.Farah also stated that she does not like to control morals, while Ranveer added that he has not yet spoken publicly about everything that happened during that period.

“A lot has happened, and I never talk about it,” he said. “I’m still fighting my issues internally. The incident eventually led to several FIRs being filed against both Ranveer and Samay, intensifying the debate on online content and cancel culture.
