If you can’t wait to see who wins the 2026 Academy Awards or experience all the glitz and glamor on the red carpet, you can watch the 98th Academy Awards on TV or online in several countries around the world on Sunday, March 15. Or maybe you’re just super curious to see what host Conan O’Brien will bring to this year’s Academy Awards in Los Angeles.

As usual, ABC will broadcast the ceremony in the United States, along with the Oscars broadcast live on Hulu. The big show starts at 4pm PT/7pm ET.

In Canada, CTV returns as the Canadian broadcast channel for the 98th Academy Awards. Coverage of Hollywood’s Biggest Night on National Network CTV, CTV.ca and the CTV.ca app begins at 7pm ET, with the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation using the ABC feed. This will be preceded by the official live red carpet show, which airs at 6:30 p.m. ET.

UK

For the third year in a row, ITV and broadcaster ITVX, the operator of STV and STV in Scotland, are the UK home of the Oscars.

Promising to be “the ultimate platform for the Oscars experience” in the UK, ITV recently announced: “The 97th Academy Awards in 2025 resonated strongly with viewers in the UK, with exclusive free-to-air coverage across ITV1 and ITVX reaching nearly 5 million viewers. For the second time, the Oscars red carpet will be broadcast live on both ITV1 and ITVX, and will feature expert presenters who will provide live access to the 98th Academy Awards nominees, Hollywood’s biggest personalities and VIP guests as they arrive for the ceremony.

Jonathan Ross, whom ITV describes as a “respected broadcaster and dedicated cinephile”, returns to lead ITV’s Oscars coverage.

Ahead of Oscars night, film fans can also “immerse yourself in a range of exclusive content on ITVX, including a dedicated Oscars page, Oscar-winning film compilations, highlights from past Oscars ceremonies and highlights and clips from the big night,” ITV boasts. “A dedicated 24/7 Academy Awards channel will feature Oscar-winning films and nominated films celebrating the best past winners and contenders, including recent films. In Cyprus, the Oscars ceremony will be broadcast live on Movies Best HD. The party starts at 2:00 AM EST on March 16.

Czech Republic
In the Czech Republic, the Oscars ceremony is broadcast on the commercial network Prima, which broadcasts the ceremony live starting at 1 a.m. CET on March 16.

Denmark
In Denmark, commercial channel TV 2 Danish will broadcast the ceremony live, starting at 1:00 AM CET on March 16, on TV2 and via the TV2 Play streaming service.

Finland
In Finland, public broadcaster Yle will broadcast the Oscars live on Yle Teema Fem, with streaming available via Yle Areena. Coverage begins at 2:00 AM EST on March 16.

Warner Bros.’ TNT and HBO Max will air the show. Discovery will watch the Academy Awards live in several countries in the region, with a preview hosted by Lety Sahagún and Axel Kuschevatzky.

The Middle East

Regional TV giant MBC, through its channels MBC 2 and MBC Max, as well as its operator Shahid Plus and the Saudi cultural channel, owns the rights to the Oscars in 2018. South Africa

in South AfricaThe Oscars will once again be broadcast live on pay-TV giant DStv’s M-Net channel early Monday local time. The Oscars will be broadcast live from 1am South African time on M-Net Channel 101, with streaming services DSTV Stream and DStv Catch Up also showing Hollywood’s big night.

For those who don’t want to stay up all night, the star-studded awards ceremony will also be replayed on Monday in prime time on Mzansi Magic Channel 161.

Australia

The Seven Network and its 7Plus streamer are the home of the Oscars, with the outlets replacing the Nine Network a few years ago. Red carpet coverage begins at 10:30 a.m., followed by the ceremony at approximately 11 a.m. local time on Monday.

India

Star Movies and Star Movies Select will bring movie lovers the Oscars in India, with JioHotstar also streaming all the action and fun from Hollywood live. The program airs at 5:30 a.m. local time.

Japan

Wowow, the premium cable operator, which has organized the Oscars in Japan since 2000, will once again broadcast the show live on Wowow On Demand.

Japanese public broadcaster NHK will also broadcast the awards ceremony on its NHK-G and NHK BS channels, and via the OTT service NHK+.

South Korea

In movie-loving South Korea, local entertainment giant CJ ENM has once again acquired the rights to the Oscars across cable channels and platforms OCN, OCN Movies, OCN Movies 2, O Choice, TVN Limited, Genie TV, Genie TV Mobile, LG U+TV, LG U+ Mobile TV, and U Play.
