Fox Entertainment has found an executive to lead its fledgling Fox Creator Studios division, which will work with new and emerging creators in categories relevant to the company’s programming.

Fox has hired Billy Parks to head Creator Studios.

A veteran of Otter Media, Fullscreen and Astronauts Wanted, Parks was an operating partner at The Chernin Group and a venture partner at Slow Ventures Creator Fund.

“Fox Creator Studios represents a fundamental evolution in how we work with today’s most dynamic storytellers, bridging the gap between Hollywood and the rapidly expanding creator economy,” said Rob Wade, CEO of Fox Entertainment, to whom Parks will report. “Billy has built his career at the forefront of creator-driven media, blending creative instinct with investment and operational experience. He understands that today’s creatives are founders and brand builders, and he knows how to scale their ideas into lasting businesses. As we expand our digital ecosystem, we want to empower creators to realize their dreams, and Billy is the perfect leader to drive this effort.”

“Today’s creatives don’t wait for permission. They’re building the world’s most dynamic media businesses on their terms, knowing that the future belongs to ideas that travel,” Parks added. “Fox has a legacy of empowering great creative talent, and Fox Creator Studios is a natural extension of that legacy. Our goal is to meet creators where they are, respect what they’ve already built and help them grow, whether that means launching a new format, expanding into new verticals or expanding their brand across platforms. We want to be a place that understands their needs and helps turn momentum into lasting brands of storytelling and entertainment.”

Fox Creator Studios makes its first deals in the popular food category, including partnering with top talent such as Gordon Ramsay through Studio Ramsay Global, Rosanna Pansino, Jolly, Sorted Food, The Food Theorists and Little Remy Food.

The parks are expected to expand this to other sectors.
