An Arab woman in Sharjah appeared before the Sharjah Misdemeanor Court, after her neighbor accused her of misusing phone calls to harass her. This case highlights how everyday communication tools, although designed to make life easier, can sometimes lead to conflicts when used excessively.According to a report by Gulf Today, the woman often visited her neighbor in the residential building, and usually coordinated these visits in advance to ensure that the time was appropriate. One time, her neighbor invited her to visit. The woman later called again to confirm the visit before heading to the apartment. However, neighbors reportedly considered her repeated calls for confirmation excessive.

The situation eventually escalated when the neighbor decided to file a lawsuit accusing the woman of misusing phone service to harass her.During the hearing, the defendant, called FN, denied these accusations. She told the court that her neighbor invited her and that she simply went to the apartment after accepting the invitation. She explained that when the door opened and no one responded, she tried to call several times to confirm what had happened. After hearing the statements, the court decided to postpone the session and issue a ruling at a later time.
