Gurugram Police on Monday arrested two people, including a woman, in connection with the attack on a patient undergoing treatment at the Civil Hospital, police said.

The accused, identified as Pawan, assaulted his live-in partner on March 9, after which she was undergoing treatment at the Civil Hospital, they said.
They added that another woman, who thought the patient was her husband’s friend, threw toilet cleaner at her, adding that the police were interrogating the accused.
A 30-year-old woman suffered serious burns to her face and body after an incendiary substance was thrown at her at the Civil Hospital. She was later referred to PGIMS, Rohtak, they said.
According to the police, the accused woman, Sakshi, 30, a resident of the Rewari area, revealed that she thought the patient was her husband’s friend, so she threw toilet cleaner at her.
The police also arrested the accused Pawan, a resident of Rewari, who was living with the victim woman in an apartment in Sector 72 area in a live-in relationship.
“During interrogation, it came to light that Sakshi had an argument with her husband’s friend Minkashi, who was admitted for treatment at the Civil Hospital,” a Gurugram police spokesperson said.
He added that Sakshi, after seeing the dupatta/cloth (thinking it was Meenakshi), threw the toilet cleaner at her.
The complainant registered the case in Pawan’s name, but so far his role has not been revealed, he said, adding that another investigation is underway.
