Novelty abounds at the 2026 Actor of the Year Awards Sunday night at Los Angeles’ Shrine Auditorium & Expo Hall — starting with that name. The name change, formerly known as the Screen Actors Guild Awards, was announced in November to match the name of the event’s award — “Actor” — while also reflecting that SAG isn’t alone. Since 2012, the 160,000-member labor union has been SAG-AFTRA, the latter representing the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists. Technically, the correct full name of the rebranded event is “The Actor Awards Presented by SAG-AFTRA,” but that will certainly be a stretch for many.

The other notable change: the required dress code. “Reimagining Hollywood glamor from the 1920s and 1930s” is the style theme of the evening, born from a partnership with deer magazine and Netflix, which broadcasts the actor’s awards. Hearst Publications, deer It strives to create similar viral moments as Conde Nast moments Vogue magazine And May’s Met Gala.

As stars prepare to honor 2025’s best performances in film and TV, will they embrace the required dress-up theme as enthusiastically as they might at the Met Gala? Early arrivals suggest that some jumped into the fashion details of those decades, from Patrick Schwarzenegger in a Gatsby-like double-breasted Tom Ford suit, to Sheryl Lee Ralph’s feather-covered boa constrictors with her Said Kubeisi dress.

Here’s a look at all the arrivals, which Hollywood Reporter Will update throughout the night.
