Tennis Channel has offered Chris Eubanks a three-year deal.

The former professional tennis player, who has emerged as a fan favorite for his expert analysis and natural charisma, will join the network as a commentator and on-air host. Eubanks makes his debut with Tennis Channel when the BNP Paribas Open kicks off in Indian Wells on March 4. The contract follows Eubanks’ retirement from the ATP Tour at the age of 29 in November 2025. The former Olympian, who turned professional in 2015, has reached a career-high of 29th in the ATP Rankings after being boosted by reaching the quarter-finals at Wimbledon.

“I’ve always loved talking about tennis as much as I’ve loved playing it,” Eubanks said in a statement about his new gig on Tennis Channel. “Tennis Channel has always been an important part of how fans experience our sport, so to now join the team in this capacity is very special. Having the opportunity to share what happens inside the lines – strategy, emotions, momentum changes – is something I’m very excited about. Tennis has given me so much and I’m looking forward to staying connected to the game in this way.”

Tennis Channel CEO Jeff Blackburn said the network was “thrilled” to have Eubanks join the team. “Chris understands where tennis is now – both competitively and culturally. He brings an authenticity and point of view that resonates on the air.”

The network praised Eubanks’ move from the courts to the broadcast booth for how it fits with the ongoing push to blend sports coverage with storytelling that connects with a modern audience. Viewers praised Eubanks online for how he used his experience to explain the game while also connecting with the tour’s most famous players, like this exchange with tennis star Coco Gauff.

When Eubanks took to Instagram last November to announce his retirement, he reflected on his accomplishments (two-time ACC Player of the Year, reaching the Wimbledon quarterfinals and an Olympic run) and the “amazing journey” of being able to travel the world and make amazing relationships while fulfilling his lifelong dream of playing professional tennis. He’ll continue the travel and relationships part while launching the new deal on the other side of the desk.

The BNP Paribas Open takes place March 1-15, and is based at Indian Wells Tennis Park in the Southern California desert. More information on how to watch can be found here.
