MEERUT/NEW DELHI: “The country already knows that you are naked, so what is the need for you to take off your clothes,” Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Sunday, criticizing Congress for using the Global Artificial Intelligence Summit to showcase “Gandhi and Nanji (dirty and shameful)” policies in front of foreign guests, report Sandeep Rai and Kumar Rakesh.
He also commented on the shirtless Youth Congress protest against the party leader being “reckless and unruly” in a sharp criticism of Rahul Gandhi.
“The entire country was full of pride (about the summit) but what did the Congress and its ecosystem do? The Congress has turned a global event for India into an arena for its dirty and naked politics,” he said. Modi noted that there are dissenting voices within the opposition bloc.In his first remarks on the unprecedented protests organized by the Youth Congress on Friday, Modi told a rally in Meerut where he dedicated the 82-km Delhi-Meerut Namo Bharat corridor to the nation that the opposition party broke all norms without considering that it was a national event and not the BJP.Didn’t everyone feel proud of the summit that attracted representatives from all over the world, including 20 prime ministers, he asked the supportive crowd before heading to Congress. “The entire country was full of pride, but what did the Congress and its ecosystem do. The Congress has turned a global event in India into an arena for its dirty and naked politics. The Congress members removed their clothes in front of the foreign guests,” he said, adding that the “reckless and unbridled” party leader is bent on destroying the country in his quest to become Prime Minister.
Moody also twisted the knife. “Congress has broken all norms. It has become a burden on the country,” he said, referring to several other opposition parties like TMC, DMK, NC and BSP for not being part of this “sin” while Congress workers are shamelessly glorifying the protesters instead of feeling embarrassed by the incident that has “brought shame” to the nation.Pointing out that Congress allies were criticizing the party over its protests, he said the Congress was unable to perform in Parliament and was not allowing others to perform as well. He said that these parties realized that they were the biggest victims of Congress’ strange actions.
