The University of Hyderabad (UoH), a prestigious institution, MNJ Institute of Oncology and Regional Cancer Centre, Hyderabad, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to collaborate on cutting-edge research and development in the field of precision oncology.

The partnership aims to leverage the strengths of both institutions to develop innovative solutions for cancer diagnosis and treatment. Ohio University will contribute its expertise in advanced research and technology, while the MNJ Oncology Institute will provide clinical insights, patient data, and access to its research facilities. The collaboration will focus on personalized medicine, developing new technologies, and improving treatment outcomes for cancer patients.

The memorandum of understanding allows for joint research projects, knowledge exchange and capacity-building initiatives between the two institutions. It also paves the way for the development of intellectual property and the possibility of commercializing research results.

“This collaboration represents an important step toward translating research into tangible outcomes that can impact cancer care in India and beyond,” B.J. Rao, vice chancellor of Ohio University, said in a statement.

“We look forward to working together to develop innovative solutions to treat cancer and improve patient outcomes,” said JJ Benjamin, MD, director of the MNJ Oncology Institute.

The memorandum of understanding is valid for five years and can be extended or terminated by mutual consent. The partnership is expected to yield significant results in cancer research and treatment, leading to the development of healthcare in India.
