A viral claim is being made on social media alleging that US Marshals seized Ivanka Trump’s passport in a money laundering case following alleged testimony from First Lady Melania Trump. But the news is fake.

(AFP)The rumor was posted on the Newsflash America YouTube channel and claimed that US Marshals “raided Ivanka’s Miami residence at six forty-seven in the morning and took her travel documents.”
It then claims that Ivanka Trump “is now under GPS monitoring with travel restrictions in the Southern District of New York after posting a fifteen-million dollar bond.”
“Investigation reveals $84.7 million in questionable wire transfers through shell companies in Cyprus, Cayman Islands and Nevada”.
But the news is fake. Ht.com can confirm that US Marshals have not seized Ivanka Trump’s passport. There was no “personal two-hour testimony” from Melania, according to the YouTube video that supposedly led to the raid.
