A man has been arrested in connection with the kidnapping of Nancy Guthrie. The Pima County Sheriff’s Department issued a statement to the effect and added that there will be no press conference on the matter at this time.

Although FBI Director Kash Patel is said to now have ‘persons of interest’ in the Guthrie kidnapping, it is not known if the detainee is among them. Although authorities have detained one person, the 84-year-old mother of three is yet to be found. The arrests were made today after a flurry of activity including reports of SWAT vehicle traffic and HRT presence in Tucson Activity was also reported in the Bitcoin account mentioned in the ransom note in Guthrie’s case.
It’s not known if the detainee had any link to the ransom note, but TMZ reports that authorities have concluded that the sender of the note lived in the area, based on information gleaned from the ransom message.
