A bunch of balloons caused a brief explosion inside a building elevator in Mumbai after the balloons caught fire. CCTV footage from the lift shows the moment a man enters the lift with a bunch of balloons and detonates them.

Flames briefly engulfed the CCTV camera, and seconds later, the woman and two men were seen exiting the elevator. Moments later, the balloons catch fire, causing an explosion inside the elevator.

Flames briefly engulfed the CCTV camera, and seconds later, the woman and two men were seen exiting the elevator. CCTV footage shows the elevator doors closing as a fire breaks out in the center of the elevator.

NDTV reported that the man and woman seen entering the lift were said to have suffered burns. According to the police, a case has also been registered against the balloon seller. It is not yet known what kind of gas was inside the balloon.

Similar incidents of balloon catching fire are becoming common. Last year, a bride and groom were burnt when a hydrogen balloon exploded during a Haldi function. The incident came to light when the couple shared a video of it on Instagram.

In the video, the couple is seen walking with hydrogen balloons when a colored gun used during the entry causes the balloons to catch fire.

Hydrogen balloons often catch fire and cause a small explosion that can be dangerous and cause burns.

In another incident in Vietnam, a woman suffered first- and second-degree burns when a balloon in her hand exploded. The balloons were exposed to burning candles on her cake at a restaurant decorated with balloons. Video of the incident shows her face on fire as she drops the cake and balloons.
