Prime Minister Narendra Modi met Palestinian Foreign Minister Warsen Aghabekian Shahin and reiterated India’s support to the Palestinians at the Arab Foreign Ministers’ meeting on Saturday (January 31, 2025).

Foreign Ministers of Arab countries on Saturday (January 31, 2026) met Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who appreciated his role in supporting peace and stability in West Asia.

Arab foreign ministers are in New Delhi for the second Indo-Arab foreign ministers’ meeting.

Prime Minister Modi highlighted the deep and historic people-to-people ties between India and the Arab world, which have continued to inspire and strengthen ties between the two parties over the years, a statement from the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) said.

The Prime Minister outlined his vision for India-Arab partnership in the coming years and reiterated India’s commitment to deepen cooperation in trade and investment, energy, technology, healthcare and other priority areas for the mutual benefit of the peoples of both sides.

“The Prime Minister reiterated India’s continued support to the Palestinian people and welcomed the ongoing peace efforts, including the Gaza Peace Plan,” the statement said.

It said Prime Minister Modi expressed his appreciation for the important role played by the Arab League in supporting efforts for regional peace and stability.
