Chennai, Jan 30 (PTI) Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin on Friday launched a scathing attack on the BJP and asked if its alliance partner AIADMK has been cleaned of its “washing machine” involved in corruption cases.

CHENNAI: Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin speaks during a meeting with district secretaries to review the progress of special intensive revision (SIR) of voter list, on Sunday, November 9, 2025, in Chennai. (PTI)Targeting the saffron party for making “baseless allegations” on the DMK, Stalin, after inaugurating the NDTV Tamil Nadu Summit here, said those who cannot digest Tamil Nadu’s growth spread lies through “WhatsApp University”.

“All the allegations leveled against us follow an old script. The first of these is the allegation of political dynasty. I have already answered that. Anyone is free to enter politics, but they must stand before the people, gain their trust and win votes to succeed. It is a baseless allegation who cannot face us on the ground,” said the DMK chief.

The second charge they make against us is ‘corruption’. So far has anyone proven a single charge against us?

Taking a dig at the BJP, Stalin said, “Now you have those who are really involved in corruption, especially, the AIADMK, who were even convicted by the Supreme Court in a corruption case. When you were not in alliance with them, how many complaints did you make against them? Have you washed them in your washing machine now?”

Opponents claim that Tamil Nadu is anti-Hindu. But in the last 1,730 days in power, more than 4,000 temples have been inaugurated, a scale that has not happened even in a BJP-ruled state, he claimed.

“True fans are happy with it,” Stalin said.
