Former co-stars Timothée Chalamet and Selena Gomez are set to reunite after nearly a decade as they team up for their next film – ‘Not Alone’.According to the latest reports, the actors who first woke up together in the 2018 film “A Rainy Day in New York” will team up again, this time, for a new space-themed animated film from Illumination.
Unlike their previous project, Timothy and Selena will head behind the microphone and lend their voices to the new animated film backed by the studio that has produced global hits like “Despicable Me” and “Super Mario Bros.”

According to Variety, Chalamet will voice the character Joe, “an introverted rocket mechanic who lives a quiet life alone,” according to an official trailer, while Selena Gomez will voice Fran, “a brilliant astro-botanist working to develop the world’s first plant-fueled rocket.”

“When Joe and Fran are brought together to prepare for the inaugural launch of this revolutionary rocket, instant sparks arise, but neither is particularly adept at romance. Life becomes more complicated when three aliens — wild and adorable youngsters — take refuge in Joe’s house. Dunk, Willie and Sherm travel interplanetary with an enthusiastic but inept law officer named Xandro. The aliens decide that Fran’s rocket can provide them with a way home. Dunk, Willie, and Sherm will be voiced by Rob Brydon, Diane Morgan, and Jimmy Demetriou. “Ted Lasso” star Brett Goldstein will be seen as Officer Zandro. Other actors in the supporting cast include Allison Janney and Lamorne Morris.Not Alone will be co-directed by Eric Gillon, who was co-director of Despicable Me 2, Clare Dodgson, and Jonathan Dale.The film is scheduled to be released on April 16, 2027.
