A day after resigning as West Bengal governor, CV Ananda Bose on Friday said he will move to his home state, Kerala, to work for Viksit Bharat (Forward India).

“My innings in West Bengal are coming to an end. I am deeply indebted to the great people of Bengal for the affection and appreciation they have showered on me,” he said and shared a copy of his resignation letter. “I will move to Kerala to work for Vixit Bharat. I will work under the guidance of the national leadership to achieve the objectives of this great mission and will do my best to promote the dear cause of Kerala, which is my state,” he said.

But Bose did not specify in what capacity or role he would work in the southern state, where elections are expected to be announced within a few days.
“I consider this new assignment as a solemn duty and as a gesture of gratitude to the people of Kerala, who I would like to say have raised me. I will work for the people, with the people, by the people,” he said.
“I also extend my best wishes to Shri RN Ravi, my very good friend and distinguished Director General, who will be my illustrious successor,” he said.

In a dramatic development, days before the schedule for the West Bengal Assembly elections was announced, Bose resigned on Thursday evening, leading to political repercussions across the state.
Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee expressed shock at the sudden resignation, hinting at the possibility of political pressures behind it.
