Cannes Film Festival Regular Bruno Dumont (Slack Bay, Flanders) returns to the Croisette this year with his latest work, Red rocksis displayed in the Directors’ Fortnight sidebar.

Directors’ Weekly added the film, described as a Romeo and Juliet-style romantic drama set on the French Riviera, to a delayed edition on Thursday. Dumont will also be giving a masterclass in this section, where he premiered his first feature film, The life of Jesus In 1997. Over the years, the French director has shown many works in the section that coincides with the main Cannes festival. He premiered his own four-part television series Lil Quinquin In Directors’ Fortnight 2014 and musical drama Janet, The Childhood of Joan of Arc There in 2017.
