Woh jahan rehti thi, kasa grand loor parel 11 am, wahan onke antim darshan hoong, wahan aye aur kal dopahar ko 4 bhaji shivaji park unka antim sanskar hoga (She died today. Those who wish to pay their last money) Respected people can visit her residence tomorrow at 11 am and the last rites will be performed tomorrow at 4 pm in Shivaji Park).”The funeral of Lata Mangeshkar, Asha Bhosle’s sister, was also held at Dadar’s famous Shivaji Park, with full state honours. Now fans are mourning her death, and many celebrities have also begun paying tribute to the late singer. Jamie Lever wrote: “My heart hurts as I write this. 🙏🏽💔 I have always been a fan of her art, and for most of my journey, I have found myself inspired by her voice and style. I was so captivated by her singing that I naturally began to imitate her.
People love resemblance/impersonation, but the truth is that there can only be one Asha ji.Watching her live at Shanmukhananda Hall was unforgettable. Even then, her voice, charm and energy lit up the stage, and I became her biggest fan.I’ve always wanted to meet her, but that won’t be possible now. She would pull my cheek, maybe once or say something like “pagal ladki” which I would gladly accept.. As I said before, “aap hain toh hum hain.”
A part of me ‘chhoti Asha ji’ exists because of her.” Just 4 days ago, Tabu dropped pictures with the veteran singer. She said, “Tell me about your most memorable days.. Tell me about the moments you will never forget. Tell me what moves you the most.. Tell me about your most precious possessions. It was my birthday in November and there it was, through my door.. This beauty.. This guitar.. Ashaji’s gift to me. Words cannot express the gratitude I feel.. I love and admire you more than I can say, Ashaji.”
“Through your songs we felt love and longing..pain and emotion..I will hold on to this for life, and one day soon I hope to be able to play your songs for you on this.”
