The JEE Main 2026 admit card for the January session is expected to be released soon by the National Testing Agency (NTA), with candidates advised to regularly check the official portal jeemain.nta.nic.in for updates.
Once issued, registered applicants will be able to download their JEE Main 2026 hall ticket using their application number and date of birth. The admit card will carry details including exam date, shift timing, test centre address and candidate information.
The JEE Main 2026 Session 1 examination is scheduled to be held on January 21, 22, 23, 24, 28 and 29. Paper 1 (BE/BTech) will take place in two shifts on most exam days — from 9 am to 12 noon and 3 pm to 6 pm. Paper 2, for BArch and BPlanning candidates, will be conducted on the final day in a single shift from 9 am to 12:30 pm.
NTA has already released the exam city intimation slips, allowing candidates to check their allotted cities in advance. The agency typically releases the admit cards three to four days before the examination, a timeline that candidates and coaching institutes are closely tracking.
In West Bengal, the agency has confirmed that no JEE Main examination will be conducted on January 23 due to Saraswati Puja. Candidates originally scheduled for that date will be assigned an alternative exam day within the existing examination window.
Candidates are advised to carefully verify all details on the JEE Main admit card 2026, including name, photograph, signature, paper type and shift. In case of discrepancies, NTA has asked candidates to contact its helpline between 10 am and 5 pm, while still appearing for the examination with the downloaded admit card.
Last year, over 13 lakh candidates registered for the January session of JEE Main, underlining the scale of India’s largest engineering entrance examination. JEE Main serves as the gateway for admissions to NITs, IIITs and other centrally funded technical institutions, and also acts as the qualifying exam for JEE Advanced.
The National Testing Agency has reiterated that all official announcements related to the JEE Main 2026 admit card release date and download link will be published only on its authorised websites.
Candidates are advised to rely solely on official sources and avoid misinformation circulating on social media as the exam dates approach.
