Skoda Kodiaq RS India launch confirmed for June 2026, performance SUV to debut

Skoda Auto India has confirmed that the Skoda Kodiaq RS will be launched in India by June 2026. The performance-focused SUV is set to arrive in the second quarter of the year, marking the first time an RS-branded SUV will be introduced in the Indian market.

The Kodiaq RS will sit above the standard Kodiaq and is aimed at buyers looking for a sportier and more powerful SUV. With this move, Skoda plans to expand its performance lineup in India.

Sporty design updates

The Skoda Kodiaq RS gets sharper styling to set it apart. The front features a redesigned bumper, a blacked-out grille and larger air intakes. Black elements continue along the sides, including the C-pillar, mirror caps and window frames.

The SUV rides on 20-inch alloy wheels with red brake calipers. At the rear, the familiar Kodiaq shape remains, paired with a revised bumper for a more aggressive look.

Cabin and features

Inside, the Kodiaq RS follows an all-black theme with red highlights. The seats are heavily bolstered and come with RS branding and integrated headrests. A large 13-inch touchscreen infotainment system sits at the centre of the dashboard, along with a fully digital driver display.

Physical rotary controls for key functions remain, offering a mix of modern tech and easy usability.

Engine and performance

Powering the Skoda Kodiaq RS is a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine, shared with the Octavia RS. The motor produces 265hp and 400Nm of torque. This is paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox and an all-wheel-drive system.

Skoda claims the SUV can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in 6.3 seconds, with a top speed of 231 kmph. Braking duties are handled by upgraded hardware, including slotted discs and larger calipers.

What lies ahead

Adaptive suspension is offered as standard in global markets, though Skoda has not yet confirmed whether this feature will be available on the India-spec model.

With its confirmed June 2026 launch window, the Skoda Kodiaq RS is expected to bring a new performance-oriented option to India’s premium SUV space. Further details on pricing and specifications are likely to be shared closer to launch.
