Skoda has officially confirmed the India launch of the Kodiaq RS, marking the return of its high-performance RS badge to the Indian market. The Skoda Kodiaq RS is scheduled to debut in June 2026, positioning itself as the most powerful and sporty SUV in the brand’s India portfolio.
The performance-focused SUV was recently showcased internationally, and the India-bound model is expected to arrive as a CBU (Completely Built Unit) in limited numbers, targeting enthusiasts who want a blend of practicality and performance.
Sporty RS design with aggressive styling
The upcoming Skoda Kodiaq RS stands apart from the standard Kodiaq with a bold and athletic design language. Key highlights include a blacked-out grille, RS-specific badging, sporty bumpers, and large dual-tone alloy wheels. The red exterior colour, seen during the global reveal, further enhances its aggressive road presence.

LED Matrix headlights, a panoramic sunroof, roof rails, and quad exhaust tips are expected to be part of the RS identity, giving the SUV a distinctly motorsport-inspired character.
Powerful turbo-petrol engine expected
Under the hood, the India-spec Kodiaq RS is likely to be powered by a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine, producing around 265 hp and 400 Nm of torque. The engine will be paired with a 7-speed DSG automatic transmission and all-wheel drive (AWD) as standard.

This setup is expected to deliver strong acceleration and confident highway performance, making it one of the quickest SUVs in its segment once launched.
Premium cabin with RS-exclusive features
Inside, the Skoda Kodiaq RS is expected to offer a sporty yet luxurious cabin. Highlights may include RS-branded sports seats, contrast stitching, aluminium pedals, a fully digital driver display, and a large touchscreen infotainment system with connected car technology.
Comfort and safety features such as a 360-degree camera, multiple airbags, advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), and premium sound system are also likely to be offered.
Expected price and rivals
Given its CBU status and performance credentials, the Skoda Kodiaq RS price in India is expected to be around ₹55–60 lakh (ex-showroom). It will rival performance-oriented luxury SUVs like the BMW X3 M Sport and Audi Q5 in terms of pricing, while offering a more enthusiast-focused driving experience.
What this launch means for Skoda India
The arrival of the Kodiaq RS highlights Skoda Auto India’s strategy to strengthen its premium and performance portfolio in the country. While volumes may be limited, the RS badge will help boost brand image and attract driving enthusiasts.
