Rakul Preet Singh joined the star-studded line-up at Pratham Sankalp, the grand pre-launch event held in Delhi ahead of the world premiere of the global trailer of ‘Ramayana: Part 1’. Staying true to the cultural significance of the occasion, the actor chose a yellow Kanjivaram silk saree from homegrown brand Kankatala, paired with heirloom-inspired jewelery and an understated aesthetic.

Priced at Rs 49,144, the six-yard curtain is perfectly balanced between heritage, sophistication and contemporary design.

What did Rakul Preet Singh wear?

For the occasion, Ami Patel styled Rakul in a gold and yellow checkered Kanjivaram saree from local label Kankatala. The body of the silk saree is made up of gold and silver zari checks that give it a subtle luster, while a gold zari brocade border featuring peacock and elephant motifs set within floral vines runs through the drape.

The pallu reflects the same intricate details, keeping the design cohesive from end to end.

It was paired with a plain blouse coordinated with zari border.

The saree, sourced from Kankatala Collection, is priced at Rs 49,144.Rakul completed his look with jewelery from Shri Paramani Jewellery, choosing a coordinated set of earrings, necklace, waist belt, bangles and ear chain. Her blouse came from the same brand.

On the bright side, the actress kept things minimal with pink lips, softly defined eyes, stylish brows, and a subtle blush on the cheeks. Her hair was styled in soft waves with a center parting, and was turned into a half-up updo, a choice that let her ear chain take center stage.
