'Jana Nayagan' director H Vinoth clarifies the political message of star CM Vijay: 'He is not targeting any individual or party'

Vijay’s much-awaited film ‘Jana Nayagan’ is an action drama that has generated debate due to its political theme. Recently, the film’s director H Vinoth spoke about the film’s political message.

He stated that although it includes politics, it does not target or criticize any individual or political party.

While talking to India Today, H Vinoth said that the story of the film is about democracy, unity and working for the people. He said, “There is a direct policy in it, but it does not target or criticize anyone. This is the policy that talks about unity and working for the people.”He also explained the title, saying: “It is not a general term.

This is a film about democracy, so we chose this title. The first poster itself mentioned a “torch bearer of democracy.”

Talking about Vijay’s gesture seen in the trailer, he said, “It is essential to the script and it is there. Watch the film and if you think it is irrelevant, I will answer.”

Long wait for censorship on ‘Jana Nayagan’.

Vijay’s ‘Jana Nayagan’ marks his last film before focusing on his political career. He is now also the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu. The film was highly discussed, as it was initially supposed to be released in January.

However, it faced a long delay while obtaining its CBFC certification.The film was stuck in censorship procedures for months, and during this period, the makers faced another challenge when it was leaked online.

‘Jana Nayagan’ tells the story of Thalapathi Vetri Kundan, a former official who adopts a young girl named Viji. He wants to help her become less fearful and braver, and encourages her to join forces.After a long wait, the film received an ‘A’ certificate from the CBFC before being released in theatres.
