Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday said India has achieved outstanding achievements on the national and international stage and in space, describing them as moments of great pride. He stressed that the country remains the fastest growing major economy in the world, with a growth rate of 7.7%, although the crisis in West Asia has created obstacles in every sector.
In his usual speech before the start of Parliament, Modi referred to the youth, their aspirations and contributions. The reference came against the backdrop of the Sarsour Janta Party’s protest against irregularities in the conduct of exams and leaked papers.
“…I’m not talking about a 56-year-old here,” he said in an indirect reference to Congressman Rahul Gandhi, who has been questioning the government over newspaper leaks.

“The 28-year-old has planted the country’s flag in space. This sends a strong message regarding the potential and aspirations of the youth of our country,” Modi said, referring to space company Skyroot Aerospace’s launch of India’s first specially developed orbital rocket.

Modi said that youth achieve historic success through patience, self-confidence and persistent hard work, describing this as the greatest strength of developing India. He said: “An attainable position does not cause distress at any time. The attentive person aspires to it with effort. The great person endures sorrow in the course of time. His formidable enemies are vanquished.”
Modi expressed hope that the monsoon Parliament session would be fruitful, as all views would be respected. He added that when the monsoons and monsoons are proactive, the nation prospers. “The country has embarked on a journey on the rapid reform train. As a result, India’s youth are now able to undertake such daring acts. A third semiconductor plant has been earmarked for the nation. A few days ago, the Green Hydrogen Train, the longest hydrogen train equipped with the most powerful engine, was launched.”

He said that this is the result of the goals of India’s innovators and entrepreneurs. “India is progressing at a growth rate of 7.7%. There is a need to take the country forward through collective effort.”
Modi attributed the situation in West Asia to challenges related to energy and fertilizers. He said: “At a time like this, Parliament needs the expertise of all parties, regardless of their affiliations.”
Modi said the youth want them to move forward. “I hope that the voices of those dedicated to the nation and driven by patriotism continue to be heard in the Assembly where facts and logic prevail,” he said, even as the opposition prepares to raise issues including paper leakage, fuel costs and alleged irregularities in fundraising at the Ram temple in Ayodhya.

Modi expressed his hope that the deliberations of the House of Representatives would be enriched with logic and facts. He said: “I believe that where there are facts, there is no need for chaos. If your logic and facts are strong, there is no need to raise your voice.”
He added: “I hope that discussions in Parliament will be conducted with logic and facts. Every voice must find an opportunity to be heard. This is the role of Parliament. I urge all parliamentarians to participate.”
